Now that RJ is joining OW, can we presume that partnership will end just like the BA partnership.

I dont think we will be missing much. Most the trip reviews say its just so so. It would have been nice if rj did not join ow,it would give us more options.

In my view the relationship with RJ was rather bizarre from the beginning -- certainly of very limited value to the program. Has anyone here actually utilized it?

No, but I plan to later this year when the new US Airways announces non stops from Phoenix to Amman. What I'm hearing is that HP's sexy 752's will not be refitted with longer range tanks, but rather a different approach will be utilized. Starting 11/1, US will be retrofitting their 752's with inflight refueling. The inflight refueling probe will be welded on to the front of the nose to ensure this non stop flight is done with safety in mind. This will at the same time usher in US's newest DM partner, the United States Air Force . Beginning 11/1, DM members will be able to earn miles on select KC-135, C-17, C-141, and C-5 aircraft. Only the C-5 with it's 450 Y/0 F seating configuration will not be able for space available complimentary upgrades.

Will the USAF VC-25 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VC-25) be made available for booking on a space-available basis?

:D

I was thinking about using it to go see Petra this past summer. I didn't go and thankfully didn't waste my time crediting the miles to HP.

Doesn't mean you shouldn't visit. Petra is absolutely beautiful.

Don't miss the Dead Sea, Jerash, Aqaba and Wadi Rum.

Oh, I'll go. It's just that it would have been a shame to post the miles to HP now that I'm done with them.

I would assume the partnership will end since they are in different alliances. We have not heard anything at work though.
