I was coming from ATL to CLT yesterday booked on USAirways 2606 flown by Mesa. I was a little confused when an RJ in America West livery pulled up to the gate, but it was our plane. FAs were in HP uniforms and I heard them talking about how this was their first trip east.

It was strange seeing the HP planes at the B-concourse in Philly this week loading as US flights.

How do you think we'll feel seeing US planes at HP gates in PHX.

Saw the US flight out of C5 yesterday around 3:45 to Kansas City was on an HP Express RJ. There was a conglomerate of US groundstaff walking around the plane. Was wondering if this had been one of the first HP planes to come through and how much "cross-pollination" there will be coming up between HP/US planes on routes.
Also: noticed some US employees in the CLT concourses in Piedmont polo shirts.

The new regime is allowing us to wear one of the 4 heritage airline shirts on Fridays and on holidays. I think the Friday thing might just be through Oct, but it will stay for all holidays. Also you may start seeing football team shirts on Sundays or MOndays, whatever day your favorite team is playing.
I'm so impressed with this new regime so far. Apparently they want us to have some personality, I like that.

I think you're seeing the first steps... the RJs are easy because there's no seating variation, especially on the Mesa planes. Just a different paint job and interior design.
It's going to be a long time before you see mainline planes swapped, as the seating configurations of the US and HP A319/A320 fleet are different.
HP's A320s are 12/138 and the A319s are 12/112. US's A320s are 16/126 and 319s 12/108. Even the 733s aren't standard - HP has 8/126, US 12/114.
The only plane where HP has more F is the 757 - 14/176 as opposed to the ridiculous US 8/185.

I guess it is a little weird, but it really hasn't been that long since HP regional jets were in PHL. HP served CMH from PHL as recent as spring 2003 on Chautauqua operated ERJ145's.
