Hi all,
I decided that I'd check my preferred miles today and I'm course for being to about 50,000 by the end of the month. Although I hope my traveling dies down a bit for the rest of the year, this would put me on course to make CP by years end.
This led me to check what made up the miles I had so far. I know that only actual miles flown (100% for economy tix, 150% for full fare and 200% for fc tix) count. And I know that I got 3,000 miles this year from the 20 year promo. I also have a BOFA Sig card, but I'm not sure when I would see 10,000 miles turn into "preferred miles."
I decided to look at my February statement to see if I could make sense of all this and I could not. Adding up the "actual miles" column of my online statement, plus the "bonus miles" from the 20 year promo left me short of what the statements preferred miles were. After playing around for 10 minutes looking for a combo that would yield the elusive "preferred miles" number I gave up.
Anyone know of any place where I definitively make sense of what makes up a preferred mile? The website should just have a column that lists "preferred miles" and "non-preferred miles." If you add up the "preferred miles" column it should add up to the amount at the top of the statement (at least in February when there is no carryover).
Also, does anyone know what it will look like when the BOFA miles become "preferred?"
Sean
