Lately, I have been taking a Monday 9:15 AM flight from DCA-MCI. it leaves from the center pier at DCA, usually gate 23, and the security lines are HORRENDOUS! This past Monday, a US agent came to the line and suggested US passengers head to the far left pier (gates 30-44 or something like that).
Now, my question is: is this a regular offering? If I could use the elite line for that terminal and take the bus/shuttle every week, it'd make things soooo much easier. But, can I rely on it being available every Monday?
It was great last week, but I'd never seen a US agent soliciting this before.
Thanks!

You should be able to do this with no problem. I've done it before. Clear security at the elite line on the main US Airways pier ("C"), use the Club if you like, and then take the airside transfer bus over to the center pier.
The shuttle bus runs on demand between each pier; just take the escalator down to the Express gates, flag down a gate agent or other US Airways employee and they'll radio ahead for a driver. That's what's happened in my experience, at least, as I've had flights leave from the center pier and have wanted to use the US Airways Club without having to endure a second round of shoe harassment (and long lines, depending on time of day).

Wahoo, seems we frequent the same airport and boards (US, National Car, etc.) Thanks for the advice here. I just didn't know if it ran on demand or if it was a "sometimes" deal. I was kind of bummed that I was not able to use the lounge in C once I had to start flying out of that other pier. Guess I'll use the elite line tomorrow AM and hope for the best. I'm guessing you mean take the escalator down to the gate 35A area?

It's useful for connecting with UA as well.

Yep, gate 35A. I had forgotten the number. :)
