Is it just 30000 DM to upgrade to europe? There is no co-pay like AA?

It is 30K miles each way on discounted coach. No fee to pay like AA. And it used to be even less miles.

Just check to see if your fare class is eligible for upgrade. The cheapest coach fares (W and V) are no longer upgradeable to Europe. M, H, and Q can be upgraded with the 30,000 miles each way, however.
You might even get lucky and find a "Q" fare that's cheaper than a "V" fare; in some markets the cheap Q fares exist, such as WAS to LGW.
