I have now tried about 10 times. The first 7 I called 800-622-1015. I was led through the menu and eventually told that they were too busy for me and to call back later, and click. The last three were to 800-442-2784. My phone shuts a call down after two hours. The first two calls were automatically shut off after being on hold for 123 and 126 minutes respectively and the last my phone ran out of juice after about an hour.

What in the world is going on here? I know it's snowing and all in Philadelphia but it wasn't exactly a surprise or anything. Incidentally, when I called the second number, it said the estimated wait times were 53 minutes, 41 minutes, and 47 minutes respectively. Whoops, got that wrong... Any suggestions? I need to make a reservation and there is only one seat on a couple of the flights. I suppose, though, if I am not getting through then someone else isn't either.

I guess you must be booking on another carrier. If not try the website.

My guess is that all of the agents are swamped with rebooking people since the NE is one of their biggest markets. I'm up here in BOS and they're forcasting 20-30" of snow. I would try the website. If you are booking on a *A carrier, I would just try to be as patient as possible. :(

I'm sure many people waited until the last minute hoping their flight would go...

Yeh, non-USAir. Or more specifically, mixed. I think I will just wait until tonight or tomorrow. I tried calling late last night a few times to the first number with the same results so I assumed that their phones were having a problem. Sigh...

I called the Int'l Award desk a little while ago.... I waited on hold for about an hour 20 min (had to get through today, award on hold until midnight tonight). The agent apologized when I got through, saying they were swamped because of the storm.

I think if they hadn't laid off so many agents, they'd be able to call more in during a storm...

Tomorrow will be another busy day for reservations. There will lots of people booking Super Bowl travel in the evening.

all 4 N/S from JAX to PHL the day after the Super Bowl are already sold out. you'd think they'd add some larger planes ( 3 734s and a 319)

Well, I listened to all y'all and was patient....but I have now been on hold for over seven (7) hours. Yes, that is a seven and my patience is running thin. Hello???? Anyone there, US Air?

Seven???? yikes. that's truly awful. i'd start a second (cell) phone, to make sure you're not stuck in on-hold hell. i mean, you've been on hold longer than just about every US Airways flight!

Well, after four hours at about 2am this morning, I was dead to the world and had to hang up. Broke my heart. I wanted to cry but was just too tired.
