Mrs. MileageAddict is working with a client in the travel business. She has been commuting IAD-BOS on UA for the last couple of weeks and been earning lots of credits towards the RTW promo as well as some miles.

This week, they stuck her on US out of DCA saying they had some ticket stock to use up. It is an "X fare" which I believe is a no charge ticket, thus no miles. Anyone have any details?

Can she still submit boarding passes to UA for the miles or no dice?

X is the booking code for a standard coach award ticket. Looks like the company that paid for her ticket may have had some US Airways miles or vouchers that it wanted to burn.

No mileage credit on free tickets, unfortunately.
