I have a friend who works in BOS airport and according to the word on the street there as of 8:15pm last night (December 30th) the bag room at USAir was 34 people short for today (December 31st). It seems likely that if this is true, BOS would not be the only station to have these problems. Has anyone else heard anything about a possible repeat of the Christmas meltdown?

If that happens US is definitely done by the end of January. I can't see how they would survive the aftermath of another meltdown.

Hopefully, US mgmt is aware of the "word on the street". However, at this point I feel it's time for US to go.
