I am considering trying to do an award to burn miles on US to go to Hawaii next June in first class using United metal for at least part of the flight. Assuming US air goes under do you think my ticket would be honored by United? Would it help to do a paper ticket? Thanks in advance for your help. I am Chairman's with US, I was hoping United might try to take care of elites in this case to win their business. I know that may be a reach. ;)

I have 4 coach awards on UA to Hawaii in August. I am counting on them being honored but you never know.

I would imagine that it depends on whether UA is paid for the flight before or after the flight. If the payment is already made then I would say the flight is safe.
