I bought a US ticket to BZE on UA ticket stock (016) on united.com for mid-February.
What are my options if US goes Chapter 7 before February? The flight is *not* a code-share. It was merely purchased at united.com.
I read somewhere that there is a US law that mandates that other US airlines provide service to stranded passengers in the event of Chapter 7. Would I be able to take advantage of this or does this not apply to international tickets? Secondly, if I cannot fly on any other airline with my US ticket in BK situation, can I dispute the charge on my credit card to avoid paying for a service I do not receive? I have an MBNA credit card.
