I have around 30k+ miles, and concerned about the future of US. Since I'm currently working in Europe (mostly Brussels), can I use the miles I have to book a domestic flight on an airline here (one of their partners)? Assuming I do this, I should contact US to book this, correct? thanks. p.s. any recommendations on good airline partners... I'll go almost anywhere in Europe.

Yes--you can look at the star alliance award chart on US website and see how far your mles will take you. You do contact US to book award travel on a partner airline...

With Lufthansa and BMI being members of the Star Alliance and hence partners with US Airways Dividend Miles, you can go pretty much anywhere in Europe on both carriers. An intra-Europe coach ticket is only 20,000 miles.
Keep in mind, however, that you do have to call US Airways to book a partner award; unfortunately you can't yet do this online!
