We are trying to do an overnight in CPH & fly out the next day on Sept 6 2005 but it seems like every good hotel in town is already booked! Is there something going on there? We wanted very much to stay at the Hilton. I tried 230 days prior to our stay to book it and it was full. I tried the SAS Radisson and Marriott same thing. So Radisson refered me to their Park Inn Airport which says it is near the airport but doesn't seem to offer a shuttle. We will have a lot of baggage on this trip and wanted to avoid costly and time consuming baggage storage at CPH.
Are we better off paying Kroner to store the bags taking the short train ride downtown vs staying at this Park Inn?
I appreciate fellow travelers or folks who live in Copenhagen responding.
Thank you,
Ilene

AFAIK no major "public" event/exhibitions are listed on or around September 5 05 in Copenhagen. Being right after the European holiday period it could very well be one or more company conferences. Hotel capacity in Copenhagen is scarce - especially spring and fall.
If you are just transiting in CPH and need a place to sleep Park Inn at the airport is a good option (if the Hilton is booked solid).

A very short taxi ride away (approx DKK 75). I would bring the lugage along - as it will take just as long loading and unloading as it will to store it.
If you are in Copenhagen to experience the city Park Inn is a poor choice, then you would want to pick a downtown hotel, e.g. SASRadisson Royal or Scandinavia or the Hilton sub brand Scandic (Copenhagen or Webers). Alternatively any in the Arp-Hansen group (except the "Gentofte" which is out of town): http://www.arp-hansen.dk/

The Congress calender for next year doesn´t list any mayor events around sep 6th, so who knows whats up:

But the city is only 12 min away by train , and a taxi should cost you some 170-180kr.
