Hi all,

I have a question for all you guys that bugs me every year around christmas. I usually buy a box of chocolate for the crew. Now my dillemma comes in: when should i give it to the FA's? Should i give it to them upon boarding, at the end of the meal service or upon deplanning? Last year I gave them at the end of the meal service. This my way of saying thank you for such a great year of flying with you guys.

I was wondering what you guys do.

thanks

ps: now my only problem is that i am not going ot be able to give anything this year to the great ladies at the B/C PHL club. Eileen has always been so helpful, she is one of my favorite person working for US!

I always wait until after the meal or drink service. There's too much going on at boarding to bother them and it may appear self-serving as well. After the service, then they have time to consume and enjoy. I also give it then because they can enjoy it mid-flight and then be done with it. We all know there's nothing worse to give a traveller than something they then have to carry around with them in their luggage. I usually do the box of chocolate thing as well--it's got a community/sharing feeling to it.

Around this time of year, I always bring enough candy bars for the whole flight crew. I hand it to whomever is greeting the passengers and ask that they give it to the whole crew. On two of three legs around Thanksgiving, I was invited to the cockpit before takeoff.
