If I book a flight via USAirways and it is on United metal...can I use either a USAirways upgrade OR a United upgrade?
Also, how does a USAirways FF get "upgraded" into premium economy on one of those codeshare flights?

If you're US1, 2 or 3, you're entitled to E+ seating on UA. The only US FF way into FC is to buy an upgrade the day of departure.
