Yeah, yeah, I know.
But it's for a gag to pull on a co-worker. I know there's a Denny's here in Singapore, but last time I was here looking for it I couldn't find it. I was hoping that someone might know more than the basic address you can get from the Denny's website -- specifically, some landmark that a taxi driver would know.

Is there still a Denny's in Singapore? The only two I recall were behind the notorious Orchard Towers (that any taxi driver will know :D ) and at the Republic Theatre near Parkway Parade. The one at Orchard is long gone, replaced by a Tex-Mex restaurant....and I guess its the same for the other one since I heard the Republic Theatre was torn down a couple of years ago.

Well, as you mention it, the denny's website, while it still has "singapore" as one of the locations, no longer displays a location (unlike in March, when it did).
sg.yahoo.com also lists the two I think you are mentioning, and had phone numbers, but both are disconnected.
Hence, it sounds like you are right. Oh well. :)

The local franchisee for Denny's went under in 2002 I believe. They've since been resurrected and I think they have a different franchise now (Checkers?)
For those wanting to take a trip down memory lane, I remember there were Denny's outlets in Holland Village as well as another in Orchard Plaza (not Towers) beside the Centrepoint shopping mall.

i am almost certain there aren't any more Denny's in SG. neither are there any A&Ws (i think).
The Republic Theatre (in Marine Parade) is not torn down, it's simply not operating as a movie theatre anymore.
