I certainly beats the "no brainer" paint job of a few months ago.
Of course, anything would look better than that moronic livery.

I saw the two newest birds painted in the new Star livery last night in CLT.
700UW (a 319 and the first one airbus outsourced to AL) was at D1 and then took off in front of us around 6:10 on 36R. 623UW (757) was parked out side the hanger but did not have star logo on tail. I thought they both looked good, but I have always been partial to the 757. They do look strange in the all white paint and the US logo is very hard to see from a distance, but the scheme is very attractive.

They should paint a 767 too, they need one in a widebody.
So far, though, there's the E70, 757, and 319, anyone know of any others?

I'm so glad they are pouring their money into new paint, US certainly doesn't have anything more important to spend it on. ^ :D

The Star paint scheme they are painting on the aircrafts are either brand new ones that are rolling in OR aircraft that are due for a paint job anyhow. And I belive that in the STAR agreement you must have so many aircraft painted in the STAR livery.

Will be easier to resell those planes to another *A carrier, they will only have to paint over the name :D

Here are some pictures of the first US Airways A319, N700UW, in Star Alliance colors.
That 757 looks great in the white paint, I hope its kept clean. Is the requirement to paint a few aircraft in the Star Alliance livery for a limited time period or is it permanent?

WOW that plane look GOOD! They really need a face lift on the fleet "when" the succesfully emerge from Chapter 11. Steven Wolfs print will then be gone from UA and US!

It sure does. The 757 is the best looking plane flying and it really looks good in this paint job.
Thanks Lurker for the post

Oh yeah!! I like this!!! Only thing is I hope they'd use a little wider font on the "Star Alliance" part.

I noticed one of these planes was parked at Reagan earlier today. I'll look again tomorrow on my commute to work.

I was thinking the same thing. The "star alliance" font should be bolded or widened because it's a little hard to see. But overall, I think it looks excellent. ^
