Anyone have anyidea of laprops prices in Sin? Are they still substantially cheaper than in the UK?

certainly cheaper than the UK. however, u just need to avoid several places as these places are out to con foreigners. avoid: Lucky Plaza, Sim Lim Square and Sim Lim Tower. i would advise u to go to the computer mart in Singapore called Funan Centre. here at the top floor, there is a computer market selling all PC related products, inclusive of laptops. trustworthy and good price.

Its difficult to get conned in Sim Lim Square if you're buying laptops or other computer stuff...prices are publicly available at sg.hardwarezone.com and posted outside all the shops.
Its got a bad reputation because of the digital camera shops on the first couple of floors which have sold overpriced cameras to foreigners without offering international warranties.
