Sorry no one has responded to your question yet, so I hope it will still help you. As always it really depends. I usually prefer the Valley Wing rooms as they have a nice decor, are quiet and overall very pleasant. The club rooms come with certain extra benefits though (AFAIK) so check if you need them and maybe take it from there. Also, if you go to the luxury hotels section on FT and search for Singapore you will find quite a few threads mentioning the Shangri-La, most of which recommend the Valley Wing too. Neither one should be a disappointment though. Enjoy.
