Do a search on Chowhound.com for each city & you'll get a bunch of great recs. In Munich, I love the Austernkeller (great lobster thermidor & other seafood), Spatenbrau, hanging out at the Viktualienmarkt - all kinds of choices.

In Munich I went to Augustiner (MarienPlatz) and Rathaus Resturant.
Both very good. And in Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel Resturant.
I suggest you to go here.
