Anybody up for a pre-fest lunch at the Marriott? Alot of us are staying there and it would be fun to get a jump on meeting everyone prior to the meeting. Looks like at this point there are several who want to do this.

If you are interested in lunch on Sat about 11ish, PM me and/or l4pi. Include your email address in the PM and I'll do a maillist once I hear from Gretchyn as to what's around the airport/stadium areas for lunch. It sounds like there's not much around the stadium, so we may have to do the airport area.

A possibility might be McFadden's It is located at the Phillies Ballpark across the street. I am not sure when it opens, but it is open on non game days. Would you like me to inquire?

Sounds good to me and might be easier for folks who are not staying at the Marriott. Would you mind and then we can put it to a vote.

For those of us coming from the North, something closer to the venue would be better.

Ms. rtpflyer and I would also be interested in a late breakfast/early lunch after arriving at PHL at 8:55 AM (in theory anyway). I have PM'ed l4pi with our info.

I get in on Sat about 9:10. l4pi and I discussed some logistics last night and this morning, as he has to be at the stadium early. We discussed me driving his van to the stadium after lunch and taking his vanload over. That would work, except he has a full van (addition of me after the events puts it over). I was going to get a ride back to the airport area from Gretchyn, but she isn't going to the game. Anyway, I have an existing car reservation for Sat which I haven't cancelled. Ideas anyone? Anyone else need a ride and want to move a car from the airport to the stadium??

Anyway, Gretch has looked into the Marriott for lunch, and it sounds reasonable unless anyone else has ideas. How's that place across from the stadium that l4pi found this morning?

Sound like a great plan. I vote for the Airport Marriott, their food has always been good in my experience.

I got an offer for a ride back from Kudzu this afternoon, so I'll probably take him up and be the van chauffeur to/after lunch. Between both of us, let's ask Gretchyn if she can get you a ride over (and possibly back) as she's planning on doing lunch, is a local with a vehicle that's empty, and isn't doing the game.
