The fare of my intl. flight is HE0SPLWN, so for all intents and purposes an H fare, which according to the website is upgradeable using Dividend Miles:
Between the continental U.S. / Canada / Caribbean / Central America or Mexico and Europe One-way 30,000 M, H, K*, Q or V**
However, in the Ticket Restrictions section of the fare rules, it says:
PASSENGER MUST BE NOTIFIED PRIOR TO TICKET ISSUANCE THAT DIV MILES UPGRADES DO NOT APPLY.
So which one is it? BBB trying to sneak one in on us again or simple mistake? I called and spoke to a nice rep who double-checked and said as far as he can tell, the fare's not upgradeable. When I said that it appears to be contradictory information, he said that in his years in the business, he' learned that there are no absolutes.
P.S.: There have been reports on this board about the same problem for domestic S (or T?) fares, but this is the first time I've seen it internationally.
