yes, I'm on egullet (also chowhound.com).

egullet is VERY good for discussing actual cooking questions. However egullet is not near as blue collar as I would like for restaurant reviews. Seems most posters can discuss Charlie Trotter for hours but don't have a real clue where to get a great burger.

chowhound is the opposite, used to be very good for picking out spots low on the radar (or off the radar screen) but now (IMO) has become more and more mainstream in the choices (i.e. go to Damon's for ribs when in Chicago :rolleyes: ) Plus the software SUCKS!

Both sites vary on the reliability scale due to the people who post most frequent in a particular forum.

I've been to community events for both as well. For sure very different groups. :)

I know others who love chowhound, I can't stand their bulletinboard format and find it vexing.

However, I did see you on e-gullet. :)
