Does anyone have any info, experience, or opinions on places such as www.orlandovillas.com? I'm looking at heading down around Turkey Day, and I'm thinking it may be cheaper than a hotel. Big group going, and having a kitchen would be an advantage.
Ran a search, came up empty-handed, thought I'd try it here.
Thanks :)

Hi - Home rental in Orlando - is an excelent way to stay - for groups - usually once you need 2 rooms - you may aswell rent a villa - and have all the amenities of home and have your own private pool!!! Villas start at the sublime and go upto the ridiculous ( just the same as hotels) and they range from 2 bed to about 7 beds - upto 14-16 people. And atleast you have sitting rooms multiple bathrooms all kitchen facilities etc. The first time I rented - my son was seriously poorly -( thankgoodness I wasnt in a one room hotel situation) - I went on to buy my own!!! I can point you in several directions for booking if you wish to contact me - orlandovillas.com is good - all villas have been verified) -I do advertise with them (dont know if I am allowed to say that) Have often wondered if on FT there was a section for advertising whereby Fters could get serious discounts or last minute bargains?? ( I am not a travel agent - just know lots of villa owners - therfore direct bookings/no middlemen) Gwen

If you're up for it, check Ebay too. I think I've seen this type of thing being offered for sale in their real estate section.

Orlando is the most over built timeshare market in the world bar none.
Besides private owners, the big exchange companies RCI and Interval International for always offloading rental inventory through various web-sites.
Try
www.skyauction.com
or find any friend who owns timeshares and belongs to either RCI or Interval and they can fix you up with multiple timeshare rentals.

I have rented a house for the past few years every time I go to Orlando.
I have found mine on www.vrbo.com.
A 4 bedroom house with pool and hottub for about $100 a night is much better than a hotel, in my opinion!
I have found places in Hawaii and other locations with vrbo also.
Good Luck!

I found an article in a Canadian travel newsmagazine that one option is to use Award Vacation Homes, Inc.
One can get more information by going to the web site at www.awardpoolhomes.com
