I have spent so much time paying attention to the upgrade and other fare buckets that I forgot what the new bucket is for a 30,000 award tix to CUN. I looked at the ITN site and cannot figure it out. I think all North American buckets are the same - the Carribean just costs more.
In other words - it is the E bucket yo can not see - unless you bought a Y/B ticket then it is P.

All "saver" awards on US are booked in X, which is generally not visible on online sites. The "unrestricted" awards are booked in Y.

My mistake, I was thinking of upgrade not free ticket :(

Thanks for the detail. I guess it is back to calling res each day to see if inventory changes. Which it did but not enough to cover 6 tix.

Just for the record what I was wanting to do is change the out bound on 6 award tickets from CLT-BOS-CUN to CLT to CUN. The only award seats available at the time of booking on the out bound was a BOS connection. 4 award seats did open up on the CLT-CUN flight but I need 6. Was just looking for a way to check without going through all the ropes the US Web site has in checking the avail's.

Unfortunately, the US website is about the only place online where one can check the availablility of award space. The only other option is to call, so I guess you have to pick your poison. ;)
