I just noticed today that you can now reprint your web check in boarding passes online. In the past, if the pax had already checked in, you would get an error message.

Also I don't know if people are generally aware of it but you can bookmark the Web Check In (http://webcheckin.usairways.com/checkin.do) page directly and not have to initiate the check in at the main US Airways home page (http://www.usairways.com). Also the direct web check in page allows you to pull the PNR with your DM# where as the user interface on the home page only can pull a record initially by flight# or pnr#.

You cannot change seats when you use the BP reprint option. It is strictly a reprint function.

It is so funny/amusing that we read about so much news at US here on FT far in advance of any official notification from the company.

Sorry if this has already been posted.

This function has been available for at least four months, maybe longer.

Yes, I have used this feature at least four months ago when my computer crashed while I was printing. It is useful.

I have used this feature many times, so it has been there a while. If I am at a computer that doesn't have a printer, I will still check in. Later, when I have access to a printer, I will go and "reprint" my boarding pass.

I used it knowing there would be no printer at my hotel, but wanted to get in the UG list first. Works fine.

Well I didn't know that functionality was there, so thanks for the heads up.

Then you can usually use the kiosk to get checked in and get boarding passes, or talk to the agent to make sure you're on the upgrade list at the airport (if you're still waiting).

If you check in on-line but do not print out your boarding pass, will they still give you one at the kiosk? Or, does this send up a red flag?

Yes, you can get a boarding pass printed at the check-in desk even if you have web-checked in and couldn't print a boarding pass. I used to explain to the agents that I the boarding pass wouldn't print, but now they don't even bat an eye when I tell them I web-checked in & needed a printed boarding pass. You shouldn't have any trouble whatsoever. If you do, just see another agent.

Alternate new feature I just ran into for the first time today -- email notification that I should go ahead and check in online. It included a link and the PNR and encouraged me to go ahead and check in. I believe the message arrived in my mailbox about 28 hours before the flight, so it's right at the opening window of the online checkin.

I've not seen this before, and I'm actually in the middle of a round-trip where I didn't get the notification on the outbound.
