I booked a flight PHL/ORD/PHL for next week. I'm a CP with US. Booked on UA but outbound portion is on US metal. I know that I am unable to secure advance upgrades on UA codeshares and that they are limited to space avail on day of departure.
Can anyone offer advice to increase my odds of UG. Should I use web checkin 29 hours prior to flight and attempt UG (not even sure if that is possible on US website) or simply wait and check in at airport 2 hours pror to flight time. Will my CP status trump me to the top for UG as it does on US code on US metal?
Thanks,
