I will be in San Diego this weekend and was wondering if there were any good restaurants downtown (staying at the Westin) that offer a discount with the Entertainment card. If you know of any, I would appreciate hearing about them (it would also help to know what number they are on the card).

San Diego is not an Entertainment Book mecca.

I have several friends who insist on using the book, and have thus had some incredibly bad food. Fortunately, most of the restaurants close quickly and little permanent damage is done. And I put the bill on my card and get 10 miles to the dollar!

Of those which are not brand new (the first few listings on the entertainment.com website) La Gran Tapa in the Gaslamp might be worth a try. It's been around for a while, anyway, although I've never eaten there.

I do NOT recommend Liaison, Tango Mango, Sassafras, Zio's Italian, Fondue Forever, or whatever the current reincarnation is at the old Banzai.

That said, there are many good restaurants around the area, just try whatever looks good and lively.
