Is it me or have others had the same experience...
I just spent a little time on the US web site pricing flights from FLL to BWI. I'm booking for me and my S.O. so I selected two passengers. I was shocked to see how high the fares were. I went back and priced out the same itinerary with only one passenger and found the per passenger fares to be significantly lower. In the end, I booked two separate reservations at the lower fares (like any good cockroach would). Since we're both Gold the upgrading is not an issue.
This is not the first time I've noticed this from US. Is there a legitimate reason they increase the price when booking two or more passengers on the same reservation or are they just trying to pull one over on us thinking we won't notice?
