Yes, Beaufort has plenty of seafood and traditional dining options. In fact, on my visit (October), I bypassed the annual shrimp festival to try this restaurant, following a recommendation from the gal at the visitor's center. Ahmahgawd, it was fantastic. The jerk chicken just fell off the bone and had a consistently increasing tang that caused me to take a short pause near the end to let my taste buds recover. Their plantains were the best I have had outside of South Florida and served as a perfect complement to the spicy jerk seasoning.
On the Saturday evening that I dined, they offered live reggae. It was just one guy with a guitar and a beat box. However, he did the job, transporting me to the island, mon.
