For anyone travelling through or visiting the Triad NC area, I recommend Pavillion Steakhouse Restaurant. It is my favorite local Italian restaurant, though run by Greeks. Their tomato meat sauce is something I have tried to replicate for years. Some favorites are Spaghetti Al Venice baked with green peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese on top, the Meatball Parmesan Sub, served literally swimming in their excellent tomato sauce and with cheese baked on top, and their Marinated Ribeye, which simply melts in your mouth. Very inexpensive, locals come here in droves (my inlaws go at 4 PM on Saturday afternoon to beat the rush), the Marinated Ribeye is probably the most expensive item at about $12. I have had steaks that I paid literally 3X as much for that weren't as good. Located on Vandalia Rd, between Pinecroft and Holden. 2 blocks from I-85 on Holden, or about a mile and half from 1-40 coming up Pinecroft (Pinecroft runs beside 4 Seasons Mall) Closed on Sunday.
