Anyone have a recommendation for dim sum in either the Atlanta or Knoxville areas? (and for places to avoid?)

First... i am not sure if Atlant has a good chinese population.... i know that knoxville doesn't... so i would avoid any chinese resturants that you see...

I suspect that you're right. I just hoped that some FTers might know a place or two. Atlanta is large enough to hope for decent dim sum. Although, I have been spoiled since I moved to Seattle.

Alanta has a very large Asian population even a Japanese consulate. Most of the Asian population, except the Japanese, is centered along Buford Hwy. That's where you will find the best and most authentic Asian restaurants including great Chinese, Maylay, Vietnamese and Korean. The Thai restaurants are scattered around town.

For Dim Sum try Canton House, Oriental Pearl or Royal China.

Enjoy
