This is acknowledged as the best Indian restaurant in the Greater Hartford area. We have eaten here several times and have not had a bad meal. It is very popular with the local Indian community. Our favorite dishes include Murg Tandori, Sheekh Kabob, Chicken Tikka Masala, Murg Passandra, Kadai Gosht, and Lamb Vindaloo. Prices are reasonable given the high quality of the food. Located @ 2333 Main Street. Visit their website @ http://ambassadorofindia.com/

We revited this restaurant again last night. Our entrees of sheekha kabob and kerela pepper chicken were both excellent. The sheekha kebab is from the mughal era and is mixture of ground lamb with herbs and spices formed into a cylinder and cut into bite-sized pieces. It was served steaming hot on a platter with green pepper and onion. The accompanying sauce was mild, but intensely flavorful. The kerela pepper chicken was a new discovery for us. It is tender chunks of chicken cooked with dried hot peppers, onions, tomatoes and a blend of spices. Definitely hot, but not overly so. The basmatti rice was aromatic and the naan freshly baked. Service was efficient as usual.
