I've only been to two Indian restaurants in Providence, and they're both about the same, so I'll use the same review for both (almost)! India Cafe and Grill serves up great, authentic Indian cuisine at great prices, especially for lunch. India Cafe is a small restaurant with an intimate, but modern setting. Great service, especially if they aren't crowded. I felt like I was waited on hand and foot, and the staff is very friendly. If you have to choose between India Cafe and Taste of India, toss a coin. I found them identically good. Hmm... I wonder if they are owned by the same person?
