On the way to see the UCONN versus Villanova Women's basketball game last night, we stopped in @ this Irish themed restaurant. It is located on Route 30 just a short distance from the I-84 exit for Vernon Center. This Boston-based chain has another restaurant located on the Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield.

The menu seemed very reasonably priced and a wide variety of pub type fare is offered. All items carry an Irish city name, such a Tralee Fish & Chips which is what we both ordered. The fish was lightly battered and each order contained 5 finger-type pieces of fish. This resulted in disproportionate amount of batter in relation to the rather meager portions of fish. Each meal was accompanied by a bland cole slaw, jalapeno tartar and a cocktail sauces plus an abundance of fries.

We will not be in a rush to return.

Can't let that slur stand: Bennigan's is not based in Boston. (Their web site says they're somewhere in Texas.)

You are certainly correct, however, that the restaurant is not worth walking across the street for.

Wideman - no slur intended. I stand corrected. The first restaurant opened in Atlanta, Georgia in 1976. The chain is now owned by Metromedia with corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas.
