I have another question. Again..might sound silly coming from a Bostonian, but I don't eat out much.
Where (if any) are there some good Thai food resturants in Boston or Boston area?
Thanks for all your help!!

Living in Worcester, we don't get to the big city too often but Thai is a favorite of ours. There is a good one in Framingham on Rt 9 WB past Shoppers World - Thai Orchid.
Several others in the Marlboro and Worcester area, but that may be too far for you.

Amarin in Newton is one of the best Thai restuarants in the Boston area. Their pad thai is amazing. I think it is the second highest rated thai restaurant in Zagats. It is right off the Pike, they also have a restaurant in Wellesly.

Consider the Lowell area, which has a huge south-east Asian population. A good Thai spot that's easy to reach is Garlic Bistro, just off Route 3. Take Exit 32 (Drum Hill Rotary, which crosses over the highway), first exit off the rotary (toward the shopping) if you're coming from Boston. It's in a strip mall immediately on your left as you exit the rotary, all the way at the left end of the mall. Get into the center (left turn) lane as soon as there is one or you'll go past it.

As for Connecticut ...
If you're going thru New Haven, try the place diagonally across from the Yale Art Museum.
In the Hartford area, Lemon Grass in West Hartford center is the best shot.
Good luck.

Boston -
Jae's (fusion cuisine, sushi, best Pad Thai in the area IMHO)
Newton - I'll second Amarin
Wayland - Morn's
Marlborough - Escargot (second best Pad Thai, combination French/Thai - a hidden gem!)

I always liked Bangkok Cuisine on Mass Ave near Berklee, the first Thai restaurant I know of in Boston. Goes back to the mid-80's.

Try the "KING & I" restaurant in Beacon Hill (145 Charles St). Not only the food is excellent, but Beacon Hill is just a great place for a romantic walk after dinner. Here is a review that I found on the web about it.
"Lovers of Thai food flock to this place, twice as big as it looks.
Recommended from the long menu are beef bamboo (sirloin tips in a take-notice sauce), duck choo chee (roasted, curried) and shrimp in love (with pineapple and cashew nuts). Most dishes are stirred with crisp, fresh vegetables, and all tastes are authoritative. Portions are generous, and dessert is ice cream only. The atmosphere is intimate, with Beacon Hill chandeliers casting soft light throughout. Service is brisk and attentive, and the only downside can be the foot traffic: This is a local favorite for takeout."
