IMHO there are only a couple worth going to and one is Phuket Thai Restaurant, 6345 Penn Ave. South, Richfield, MN. Try to go for noon weekday buffet for a good variety of dishes including some good curry. I think it's around $6. This is owned by the family of Laotians who have several other restaurants in the Twin Cities area including the following one.

I like to find places where I can double dip with the Entertainment Book coupons and iDine. Ruam Mit Thai, 475 St. Peter Street, St. Paul, is one of these. The Entertainment Book coupon is good only in the evening for dinner and they are closed on Sundays. Years ago this was our favorite Thai/Laotian place but others have come along since. That's the only one worth mentioning so far.

I'm confused. Are you talking about only Thai restaurants? There are plenty of good Thai restaurants in the TC, IMHO.

What is i-Dine?

mspman: I should be more explanative. I was trying to recommend to others who use IDine what I consider to be the best of the restaurants in the IDine book. IDine is the dining for miles program used by some of the airlines. You should signed up.

I like Asian food, but also Mexican, MiddleEastern, Italian or most ethnic foods that are spicier than American food and more difficult to prepare than steak, hamburgers, etc. I prefer casual restaurants that are not chains and rarely eat fastfood.

Hi Afish and thanks for suggestion. I hangout on eat street but more so on Univ Ave as it's closer for me. Have you checked out chowhound.com? If you have any specific suggestions on eat street please feel free to recommend away. I found a great little spot there for Vietnamese sandwiches and Thai bubble tea when I was picking up pitas at Sinbad's. A little more expensive than Univ Ave but very good chicken sandwich.
