Casual eateries are a dime a dozen, it seems; but Fuzio has managed to break out of the pack with an innovative menu and lively atmosphere that makes you forget you aren't dining in a classy restaurant. Fortunately, the bill brings you back to earth with incredibly low prices (I've never spent more than $17 on a full meal).

If you like to experiment with different ethnic flavours like I do, then Fuzio will not disappoint. They combine cuisines of Italy, Asia and California into really bright dishes. My all-time favorite is their FUZIO FIRECRACKER PORK FUSILLI -- cork-screw pasta with shredded pork topped with habanero pesto and sour cream. This dish bursts with flavour! For only $8.95, it's a steal. (And don't forget to order the $4.95 tiramisu for dessert!) The menu has items for every palate and the descriptions are well-written. I've always found service to be efficient and quick -- the open kitchen opens the smells and chef activities out to the restaurant guests.

Overall, Fuzio is a quick, tasty dining experience with casual prices and classy food. If you're ever up at Dupont Circle (and I think I've seen one in Chicago, too), check these guys out!

MMM.... I love that very same dish at Fuzio's and always make a point to eat there when in DC.

I should also point out that as a general rule that I am NOT a pasta fan... but this dish is incredible.

There is a new Fuzio's in the Arundel Mills Mall if you are in the Baltimore area.

I was a huge Fuzio Dupont fan. It was always crowded, but sadly, recently went out of business. Really disappointing.
