It's said New Jersey has more diners than any other state, so it's fitting that it's hometown airport, EWR should have a diner.

And not just a Johnny Rockets, but an authentic Jerzee Diner called "The Garden State Diner." It's in the Continental Terminal 3 by Gate 72/The upper level President's Club.

If you have a long layover or need to eat something for those long flights with nuts as the only cuisine it's worth a stop.

The breakfasts are fast, plentiful and filling (I believe they could do breakfast through most of the day.) I once had the pancakes and could not finish because they were so thick.

The speciality is the big, thick burgers with fries. Not on the bar of the $41 Old Homestead burger or In and Out but cooked to your specifications. (My favorite dish here is a Taylor Ham sandwich, well grilled on rye bread with a pickle.

Have not had time for desert, but the Lemon Merange and all pies look tasty and homemade.

They also serve beer, including Clue by Four's Favorite Yuengling.

Prices are very good, leaving enough to pay for that last minute Continental upgrade.

Opens around 6am till 11pm when most flights are gone.
