I recently was able to see the singaporean movie Chicken Rice War after missing it at several festivals. It was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time.

Basically its Romeo & Juliet set in a Hawker center in Singapore with two warring families who both have chicken rice stalls right next to each other. It made me so hungry I almost went to book a ticket to Singapore right after I got out of the theatre.

Don't know if it'll get distribution here, I think it would do pretty well if it did. But it may be available on dvd in Singapore since I believe it has already run there.

Possible dumb question: Is this in Chinese with english subtitles? Or vice-versa? Or just Chinese?

it is about 75% english and 25% chinese (often with chinese and english mixed in the same sentences)

subtitles were in both english and chinese at the same time.
