If your a seafood fan, go to Catch 33. It is right in the loop on the first floor of an office building. I believe it is on Wacker, across from the canal.

I agree but one point of clarification, the name of the restaurant is "Catch 35" -- not 33. It' a play on "Catch 22" and is so-named because it is at 35 West Wacker. It is very, very good. Try the Tiramisu for dessert.

Although touristy at times, Bob Chinn's Crabhouse in Wheeling (just south of Dundee & Milwaukee) provides consistently good seafood dishes.
Also one heck of a USDA Prime grade steak too!
Watch your consumption of Mai Tai's!!!!
IMO, the quality at Shaw's Crabhouse (various locations) has come up enough for me to suggest it.
But this is the Midwest.

Catch 35 is one of the best seafood places I have dined at in the City of Chicago. There are very few places where I can truly say that I am 100% satisfied with the food and the service.
This is the first restaurant I have been to that actually allows you to pre-order the food. I took my gf there for her birthday and pre-ordered the swordfish and some coconut shrimp for her. Needless to say, she was ecstatic. Our server needs to give lessons to many restaurants on customer service. He was quite polite, efficient, and made sure that we were 100% satisfied.
BTW, the site is www.catch35.com (http://www.catch35.com)

October 17-24, 2003 Shaw's Crab House celebrates its 15th annual Royster With the Oyster, a weeklong festival highlighting over 30 varieties of the namesake shellfish, special oyster menu items and half-priced oysters all week in the Blue Crab Lounge. There will also be a series of activities including slurping contests, and beer and wine events. The festival's culmination is the traditional rowdy tent party, October 24 at 3 PM at the corner of Kedzie and Clark Streets ($5 before 5 PM; $10 until 10:30 PM; 312-527-2722).

We probably dropped $250+ on dinner and beers for four, but it was very good. The only disconcerting thing was the 75 minute wait, but we expected that on a nice Saturday night.
