Instead of the typical stuff around Wrigley Field, why not dine on Cuban sandwiches or food? The Ambassador Cafe is only 1/2 mile West of Wrigley Field.
Ate at the Ambassador Cafe, 3605 N. Ashland (just two doors north of Addison) in Chicago.

Had the Ropa Vieja, which is shredded beef cooked w/peppers and roasted tomatoes. Served w/a cup of hearty black bean soup, plantains (a sweet banana that has been sauteed) and rice. AWESOME!!! and satisfying.
They also serve great Cuban Sandwiches. Took two home for dinner, but actually just ate 1/2 mine as a mid-afternoon snack.
Many other Cuban dishes are served including Seafood (mariscos).
The Ambassador is closed on Mondays, but open from Tuesdays through Sundays, 11:30am to 9pm.
