I was looking around and found very few posts that related to idine and earning miles by eating at some of your local restaurants. Since August of last year, we have earned roughly 8,000 with bonuses. Would you believe that this is without going out of our way to find a restaurant that is included in the program.

The way the program works for those of you that don't know is you sign up through your frequent flier program and they will give you 10 miles per dollar spent (most of the time) for the first visit each month at the restaurants that are participating in the program. So for instance, if your bill is $50.00, you will receive 500 miles. The miles are posted generally within a 1 - 2 week span and you get an email that tells you what you have earned. For those of you that are near your mileage plateau, you should go out to dinner to get your miles.

If you look at buying miles from AA, UA, etc, you are spending roughly $27.50 per 1,000 miles. With the program, you are spending $100.00 in food to get those same miles (hence a 20 - 27.5% discount on your food). I have seen most of these work in combination with other offers as this is based on the credit card that you are using. If you use a mileage card, you still get the 1 pt per dollar. So in effect, you are getting 11 miles per dollar spent.

For your reference, I have included a listing of what major carriers are part of the program below:

Alaska Airlines
American Airlines
America West Airlines
Continental Airlines
Delta Airlines
Northwest Airlines
United Airlines
US Airlines

You are able to sign up by visiting their site located at www.idine.com (http://www.idine.com)

I wish you all the best.

Happy Eating,

Andrew
