My 'better half' & I will be in Las Vegas on Thanksgiving Day and were wondering about dinner. We didn't want to go to one of those 'mega buffets' nor were we looking for an elaborate 'experience' at one of the top hotel restaurants. Basically we were looking for a 'normal' Thanksgiving day meal (roast turkey, stuffing, veggies etc)to be eaten mid day/ early afternoon. Any ideas on local restaurants in the area would be appreciated.
PS- we are staying at the Venetian, but will have a car.

You're staying under the same roof as several of the best restaurants in town. At the low end, Grand Lux Cafe has wonderful food. I would also check Delmonico's, Pinot Brasserie, Lutece, and Postrio to see if they are offering a Thanksgiving meal.

Since you have a car, i would suggest driving to Lawry's Prime Rib. You can have one of the best prime rib dinners ever or you can have an excellent turkey w/ trimmings dinner. It's a lovely place w/ excellent service but you can dress casually.

Lawry's is a very gracious restaurant.
