For those of you who belong to American's Admirals Club and cannot wait to taste that first tropical drink - just head to Admirals Club.

The Mai Tai and other assorted tropicals are available at a nominal charge and the attendants there are great.

Great place to relax and avoid Baggage Claim area after you have arrived from mainland.

Do First Class flyers into/out of HNL get access or is HNL considered Domestic? Just curious since the normal rules never seem to apply to our 50th state...

Definitely domestic for AA , although the lady there (Wendy) is really nice, you may be able to talk your way in.

I did notice though that was she was asking people for Admirals Club cards, not just looking at boarding passes.

Unfortunately, this is one of the ACs that were closed indefinitely with the airline's emergency belt-tightening. Learned this the hard way as my partner and I showed up to enjoy the air conditioning after dealing with the check-in mess. I called the EP desk and found out that they had shut it down the previous day. No reciprocal agreements with other airline clubs, unfortunately, so we were left steaming in the garden court (literally, given the heat and humidity).
