I currently find the Wing to be too overcrowded to enjoy, I am BA gold, which other lounges can anyone advise on using when flying CX? Last week CX upgraded a huge group of school children and gave them lounge invites, as there is no real border between first and business in the lounge the place was packed with kids trying to consume as much drinks as possible.
hmm.. there´s always an agent between the First class and Business class section, watching who goes in and out of the First class area.. Also, the Business class side is quite big, with upstairs and downstairs. If you find the upstairs too noisy, the lounge downstairs next to the spa is usually a lot more quiet...
Thanks for the reply, I was in the wing last night and as usual it took over 30 minutes till we were able to sit down... Next time I'll try the downstairs lounge!

I've never encountered this problem in the First Class section.
There is now of course The Pier if your departure is up that end of the airport - so far I have never seen the First Class section there more than 20% full.
You can also use the BA lounge of course - it is open from (I think) 9am, but there is hardly anyone there until people start arriving for the BA/Qantas flights in the evening.

Next time, try The Pier. It is less crowded than The Wing. It's a bit far. Actually you can take the train to the 60s gate area and you'll be right there. Last time I was in HKG, which was the height of SARS back in late March, there were hardly any people at The Wing. Never been to the BA/QF lounge. Does Finnair have a lounge at HKG too?

The Pier was still closed last week - not sure if it is open again now.
The BA/QF lounge is actually quite good by the standards of everywhere else, though it can get a bit crowded late evening.
AY use the Dragonair lounge I believe, which seems a bit daft, but presumably the BA/QF and CX ones don't have capacity normally. But then again, if you are in business on AY you can use the other OneWorld lounges anyway.
