so. i'm new to the area, but i've flown out of EWR for years. but i'd just take the CTLimo shuttle from Farmington, Conn. where i had free parking.
alright, here's my deal. i live on the Douglass campus at Rutgers. i'm flying out to LA at 3pm on the 4th of January, and returning to the Gaaahden Stayuht at 11:30 or so on the 15th. i can't afford 11 days of parking screwage at Port Authority lots.
so.
do i...
a.take the bus to the train to the monorail up and reverse coming home, though i'll have to take a cab because there's no service at night in January? i'm concerned that if that flight comes in late (AA from LA? lAAte? never. never ever.) i might be skirting the edge of train operations from newark.
b.same as a, but take this State Shuttle thing home. i can't find rates or anything, though. airporter to east brunzy doesn't run that late and i dinna think you can park for that long anyhow. does state shuttle operate that late?
c.state shuttle both ways. prolly spendy.
d.some secret off-airport decent parking deal i don't know about that won't complain that i have a short-wheelbase minivan, will be open at those hours, has shuttle service, blah blah.
i know this sounds complex, but let's not go into how much i hate being stranded in this land of You Must Have A Car Or You Will Pay Pay Pay. i'm lost enough as it is.
any and all guidance loved, welcomed, and potentially rewarded with a spare swAAzle stick. can you tell i don't usually fly American and i'm eternAAlly AAmused by the AA thing? http://www.flyertalk.com/airports/ftairports_forum/smile.gif
