On C-Span I was listening to the security legislation debate and thought I heard an elected say that "right now" the FAA had closed JFK Terminal 8 and grounded 5 flights because security had not been enforced. Some hardware broke, staff waved passengers through, FAA found out, grounded flights as unsantiized. I see no report here, don't know who was speaking or if I heard properly, and it was a statement in support of one side of the argument, I have to assume for federalizing.
