In another step to ease the burden at Los Angeles International Airport, Mayor James Hahn on Monday called on his new Airport Commission to find ways to encourage airlines to make more use of Ontario International Airport.

Hahn sent a letter to the commission, saying he wanted it to look at reducing Ontario's landing fees - raised in June by the former Airport Commission - as well as several other steps to make the airport 35 miles east of downtown more attractive to airlines and passengers.
