I think some of the member has posted some detail about the commuter bus from IAd to Northern Viriginia. Here is some practical tips.
I have used Arlington County's commuter bus from IAD to Northern Virginia last week. However, it was very difficult to find the bus in the IAD (it took me 20 minutes to find the place). Not many people know about the bus and the IAD workers could point you to all over the place.
The staff of the bus service told me that IAD is not allowing them to station staff nor sign up in the IAD.
So, here is how you take it.
1) Bus leaves every 1/2 hr from Door 7 of Mezzaine level (That is between arrival and departure floors, where IAD workers usually take buses). It is a big bus with red stipe on it. it is parked little bit off to the door.
2) The bus costs $5 and you pay them at Rosslyn station (where the staff greets you).
3) The bus makes IAD-Rosslyn-Pentagon city-Crystal city-IAD circuit.
I do not want this service to disappear, so please take them as an alternative until DCA opens again.
