According to the announcement I just picked up at Washington Flyer's Convention Center office, their last day of service will be August 4.

I believe this is only for the service from IAD to the downtown Convention Center. The IAD-West Falls Metro and IAD-DCA service will remain

Service to Convention Centre ended in August, to the downtown hotels and Union Station in July. The latter surprises me.

Washington Flyer still services West Falls Church Metro and DCA (National Airport).

Anyone from DC know what the status of the DCA service is, now that the airport is closed?? I have to go from IAD to Alexandria, and I was hoping to save time by taking a bus right to the DCA/Crystal City area, instead of the Metro from West Falls Church.

Thanks!!

Arlington has set up a temporary "bus bridge" with frequent service from three Metrorail stops to IAD. Cost is $5.

There were details in a story in the Sept. 20 Metro section of the Washington Post, or you can go to www.commuterpage.com (http://www.commuterpage.com) for schedules and etc.

You might want to check the date of the original post, it was dated 04 September 2001. And yes, Washington Flyer is still operating.

The Washington Flyer service of today implied on their website is a limo service with limo/taxi rates, and a greeter inside the terminal.

The old Wash Flyer was a bus over a pre-programed route, and always an hour late.

Uh, http://www.washfly.com/ is the Washington Flyer, who may want to press a trademark infringement case...

As far as "always" being "an hour" late, that shouldn't be noticeable for a bus that runs every half hour.

Oh? Looks like we got

http://www.washingtonflier.com/ a limo service and

http://www.washfly.com/ The bus service which seems to run only between IAD & W. Falls church.
